Oral Candidiasis is a fungal infection also known as “thrush”.  Candida yeast is seen in small amounts in and on the body that are harmless, however an overgrowth of candida yeast can occur due to a weak immune system or certain medications causing serious infection.

The most common symptom of oral candida is white patches and redness in the mouth. Candida usually affects the mouth throat and gastrointestinal tract.
