We all have heard our mom’s say “Did you drink your milk today” ?  white milk

And we all have heard over and over how Milk has always been the number one source of calcium that helps us build strong bones and teeth !!  Calcium is needed to keep your teeth healthy and prevent them against decay.

Teeth and dental health are related to calcium consumption. We need to make sure that we get enough calcium throughout our lifetime.

An 8 ounce serving of milk flavored or not, gives kids as much of all these…. Very interesting fact released by the UDIM (United Dairy Industry of Michigan) in reference to the USDA National Nutrient Database.

Milk is the nutrient power house.

Here is all the good stuff you can find in a cup of milk that you will not find in any other drink.

Vitamin A – equivalent to 2 hard boiled eggs.chocalte miilk

Vitamin D – equivalent to ¾ ounce of cooked salmon.

Calcium – equivalent to 10 cups of raw spinach.

Potassium – equivalent to one small banana.

Riboflavin – equivalent to 1/3 cup of whole almonds.

Phosphorus – equivalent to 1 cup of canned kidney beans.

We have  handouts showing all these true facts that you can display in your house as a learning tool, please ask us when you stop by as we have many samples to give out from the UDIM.
